Don, there are no words to express how deeply sorry we were to hear of Jan’s passing! As you know we had the great pleasure of working with Jan at the Ocala Police Department. Jan was such a wonderful and funny friend, who would always make us laugh! Our deepest condolences to you and your entire family as you go through these difficult times! May God bless all of you! We love you Jan and you will truly be missed! Love to all, Bob & Barbara Bray

Jan was a great Pastor's wife, often adding touches of decoration to the sanctuary: flowers on the altar; sconces on the wall. I looked forward to the snacks she and Don provided at the Wednesday night Bible study! She had a servant's heart. Last Christmas, she (& Don) gave small plants to each of our members- (I forget what kind of plant.) Being a bookkeeper type myself, I could tell that Jan had the same gift of attention to detail and I think I had heard she had been a church treasurer.

Miss Jan was one of the most sweet and kind hearted women I ever met. She like her mom was always honest with you and told you what you needed to hear not always what you wanted too but her love for you never changed. Heaven gained another angel and we all have a beautiful one watching over us now.

Jan and I worked together at Marion County and became great friends when she found out that she worked with my dad (Freddie Thompson) during her career at the Ocala Police Department.
Jan was a very sweet, professional and funny lady. Rest with the Lord Jan, you fought a great fight!

Jan is one of the sweetest ladies I have ever known. She was so beautiful inside and out. I have so many wonderful memories singing with her on the praise team at Bread of Life Church. I am so blessed to have had her as a close friend. She and Don have always been there for me, willing to listen and give advice. I am heartbroken that sweet Jan is no longer with us but I know she is with Jesus and I will see her again one day I offer my deepest condolences for her husband Don and her entire family. I pray that God will hold each one of you close to Him and you will feel his loving presence during this difficult time.

Momma you will always be missed! You showed me what true love is all about. You never judged people for their past because you always said there was good in everyone. Your greatest gift to me was your daughter, Rhonda. I only pray that I can be the husband to her that Don was to you. I know your looking down on us and wishing us the best. Your favorite song tells me that you are dancing with Jesus. You always said that lives would be touched when Brandon was born, and you were right mine was by having the chance to meet you. You made me a much better person. I miss you so much. Momma I love you!!

I am deeply saddened at this news. My condolences to Don and her family at this time of loss. As another cousin separated y time and distance I am adding my voice to Mike's at this time. I did not stay in Indiana but have been i Wisconsin for many years. Sadly families get separated this way...and we lose touch as a result.

Cousin Janet you will truly be missed. Although our lives went separate ways during our high school years, you to Florida and I remaining in Indiana, I thought of you often, especially at Baker family reunions when your Indiana sisters were in attendance. I think of those few times when you visited our family farm. Your smile and spontaneity made those cherished moments. May your loved ones have very fond memories of a life well lived and now sheltered with our Lord. Goodbye for now. See you soon! Mike Sheetz
