Obituary of Roland C. Read

Born May 24, 1924 in Staples, MN; went home April 2, 2018 in the Villages, FL.  Lieutenant Colonel Roland C. Read was originally serving for the US Army Air Corps which precedes what is now the US Air Force.  Roland’s many chapters and vast life experience afforded him to live and engage in what he loved most…  Flying. 

He is survived by his youngest son Steven R. Read, along with his grandchildren Jason, Andrea, and Danielle Read. 

Lt. Col. Roland C. Read will be laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA.  In lieu of flowers please make a donation in his name to the ASPCA.   A memorial service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Summerfield, FL on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at 11:00 AM.  Arrangements entrusted with HIERS-BAXLEY Funeral & Cremation Life Event Center, 3975 Wedgewood Lane, The Villages, FL 32162.  Sentiments may be left online at www.hiers-baxley.com.
