Obituary of Matilda Rose

ROSE, MATILDA MAE Ocala - Matilda Mae Rose, 84, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2008. She was born in Paulsboro, NJ and lived in Ashtabula, Conneaut, and Canfield, OH from 1963 to 1988. Mr. and Mrs. Rose owned and operated a motel in Canfield from 1976 to 1988 before moving to Ocala in 1993. She was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church in Ocala, Friends of Public Library and Prestige 55 Club at Munroe Regional Medical Center. She was formerly a secretary to the Dean at Kent State University in Ashtabula, OH. She enjoyed dancing, quilting, cross stitching, crocheting, reading, sewing, knitting and crossword puzzles. She is survived by her loving husband, Harold of Ocala, daughter, Susan Sutherland and husband Kent of Menomonee Falls, WI, grandsons, Alexander and Jacob, brother-in-law, Bill Rose of Ocala and nephew, Dennis Rose and wife Sandy of Ocala. A memorial service will be held on Jan. 4, 2009 at 12 noon at Ascension Lutheran Church, phone 352-624-0066. Interment will follow in the church's memorial garden. A luncheon for family and friends will follow the interment. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the Ascension Lutheran Church Memorial Fund in her memory.
