Obituary of Arthur Adams

ADAMS, SR. , ARTHUR CYRUS (CY) Ocala â€" Arthur Cyrus (Cy) Adams, Sr., formerly from Douglas and Atlanta, GA, as well as Longwood and Ocala, FL was called to be with our blessed Lord on Jan. 21, 2009. He battled a long fight and we know he is at peace now. Cy had a long career in the insurance field and made many friends across the country. Cy is survived by his wife Joan J. Adams, his sons, Kent Adams and wife Julie and Rus Adams and his partner, Chris Bricker. He was the proud Grandfather to Kelsey Adams and Austin Adams. He leaves behind his younger brother, Ray Adams, nieces Janna Tess, Shea Snodgrass, Linsey Adams and nephew Trip Adams. He was devoted to his entire family and will be missed by each of them, especially his dog, Neal. Cy and Joan were Charter members of The Episcopal Church of Resurrection in Longwood and now attend the Ascension Lutheran Church of Ocala. He attended Georgia Tech and was a member of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity. A memorial service will be held on Monday, Jan. 26, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Ascension Lutheran Church, 5730 SE 28th St., Ocala, FL 34480. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Cy’s name to Ascension Lutheran Church in recognition of his efforts on the building committee.
