Obituary of Annie Melvin

MELVIN, ANNIE E, Ocala - Annie E. Melvin, 93, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2009 at Sylvia's Hospice House. She was born in Madrid, AL and moved to Ocala in 1948 from Altha, FL. She was a charter member of First Assembly of God Church in Ocala and was a retired inspector for Libby, McNeill and Libby. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and sewing. She is survived by her daughters, Betty Knight and husband Bill of Fortson, GA, Glenda Simmons and husband Jim and Ruth Cline and husband Danny both of Ocala, her sister, Frances Harrington of Collins, MS and her nine grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Carl Melvin in 1976 and her son, Willis Melvin in 2002. Funeral services will be Thursday, April 30, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 6-8 PM. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park.
