Obituary of Minnie Kreppel

Wilhemina Minnie Bauer Kreppel, wife of the late Joseph F. Kreppel, Sr., and a resident of Weirsdale, FL, formerly of Essex, Maryland passed away on Friday, May 15, 2009 at her home. Born July 22, 1921 in Weston, PA, she was the daughter of the late Sadie Shaffer Bauer and Thomas Bauer. Minnie moved to Baltimore during WWII to find employment. She was employed by Bendix and later retired from Western Electric Company after many years of service. She was a member of the Essex American Legion, Essex Senior Citizens Center, Middle River Senior Citizens Club and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She loved to travel and play bingo. Minnie married Joseph F. Kreppel, Sr. on November 29, 1946. He preceded her in death on September 29, 1996. Survivors include her daughter, Joan Kreppel Selby and her husband, Ralph, of Chincoteaugue Island, VA, a grandson, Joseph F. Kreppel III and his wife, Marylee, and a great granddaughter, Kali Kreppel, all of Baldwin, MD. She is also survived by a sister, Hilda Horton and her husband Bill of Ocala, FL, a sister-in-law, Elsa Bauer of Florida, several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many friends. Mrs Kreppel was predeceased by two brothers, five sisters and by her son, Joseph F. Kreppel, Jr., who died in 1979. Her special caregiver was Sharon McCoy of Belleview, FL
