Obituary of Melvin C. Boyer

Mr. Melvin C. Boyer, 100, of Ocklawaha, died Wednesday, May 20, 2009, at the Tuscany Hospice House. A native of Hoxie, Kansas, he moved to Ocklawaha in 1969 from Carlisle, PA. He was both a tomato farmer as well as a dairy farmer. Mr. Boyer was a member of Ocklawaha United Methodist Church, where he served as a trustee, a member of the building committee, and sang in the church choir. He is survived by his wife Louise, daughters Ruth Anne Herman and Melva Nickel, both of Carlisle, PA, 7 grandchildren, numerous great- grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
