Obituary of Jeanne Claire Algire

Jeanne Claire (George) Algire departed this life on Tuesday, June 2, 2009 in Leesburg Regional Medical Center. while surrounded by her loving family. Jeanne was born on January 14, 1933 in Baltimore, MD. In her teen years, she moved with her family to Mount Vernon, Ohio, where she met the love of her life, Jay Algire. Jay and Jeanne were married on September 11, 1959. In 1963 they moved to Dallas, TX, where they raised their four girls. In 2000, Jay and Jeanne moved to The Villages, and in 2004 Dandee, their beloved Papillion, joined the family. Jeanne was always the center of her family and a social butterfly surrounded by friends. Jeanne will be deeply missed. Jeanne is survived by her husband, Jay; her daughters, Cheryl (Van) Close in Texas, Dawn (Dennis) Duncan, in Minnesota, Renee (Dan) Goodwin, in Florida and Marla (Mike) Bell in Texas; her grandchildren, Krystal (Josh) Williams, Terry Jay (Laura) Harris, Mitchell (Cori) Harris, Cody and Kayla Bell, and Desirae (David) Frisby; her great grandchildren, Ashlyn and Janae Williams, and Brock and Jayce Harris; her brother, Larry (Phyliss) George; her sister, Pat (Jim) Cherryholmes; her sister-in-law, Kay Young; as well as nieces, nephews, and many friends. Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Agnes George, and her beloved granddaughter, Vanessa Dawn Close. May our Beloved Jeanne rest in God's arms.
