Obituary of Charles Chauncey

CHAUNCEY, CHARLES E. Ocala â€"Charles E. Chauncey, 77, passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2009. He was born in Live Oak and had been a resident of Ocala all of his life. He owned and operated Chauncey & Son Furniture Co. He was the son of the late Roy E. & Eula Dees Chauncey. He served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Air Force. He was a licensed pilot and an avid fisherman. He is survived by his daughter, Debra (Alan) Grubbs of Ocala, his grandchildren, Matthew Christie, Richard Grubbs and Jennifer Mendola all of Ocala and Donna McGovern of Dunlap, TN and his great grandchildren, Brandon, Malcolm, Tyler, Ainsley and Aubree. He was preceded in death by his wife Helen and his grandson, Patrick. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 13, 2009 at 10:00 AM at Living Hope Community Church with Dr. Gerald Simmons officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 6-8 PM at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Living Hope Community Church.
