Obituary of Jacque Owen

Jacque M. Owen, 84, of The Villages, passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2009. He was born in Johnson City, New York and moved to The Villages from Horseheads, New York 22 years ago. He was a member of Lady Lake Methodist Church, American Legion Post 347, Life member of VFW post 8083, and a life member of Elk's Lodge. Mr. Owen was a retired auto salesman and served in the US Navy during WWII and the Normandy invasion. He loved beagles and taking them to the field trials, an avid New York Yankee fan, an avid western book reader and played golf. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Anne, 2 daughters, Cheryl Crosby, Pompano Beach, FL, Pamela Fillak, Cape Coral, FL, a son, Thomas Owen, Horseheads, NY, 2 brothers, Robert Owen, Atlanta, GA and Donald Owen, Sarasota, FL, a sister, Joyce Decker, winter resident of Fl., 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren.
