Obituary of Ernest Albert Skowronek

Mr. Ernest Albert Skowronek, 68, of The Villages passed away Friday, September 18, 2009 after a long battle of cancer and surrounded by his family at Moffitt Cancer Center. He was born in Detroit, MI and moved to The Villages from Saratoga Springs, New York 4 years ago. He was a member of St. Mark Community Catholic Chrch; Knights of Columbus Council 7273; was a Reader and a Eucharist minister. He also was a marathon runner, loved woodworking, golf and fixing things. He retired as a computer engineer with Unisys Corp. and a gift shop owner. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Marion, The Villages, son, Stephen (Stephen Marra, Md,)Skowronek, Brooklyn, NY,2 daughters, Elizabeth (Chris Keelty) Andrien, Horseheads, NY, and Catherine (Chris) Ramsay, Lake Forest, IL, brother, Richard (Mickey) Skowronek, Aurora, CO, sister, Geraldine (Gus) Zielinski, Warren, MI, 6 grandchildren, Matthew and Marc Andrien, Stephanie, Sean and Bryan Ramsay and Vivian Marra Skowronek and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by infant twins, Theresa Marie and Ann Marie and his parents, Albert and Helen Skowronek.
