Obituary of Richard Bowman

Dr. Richard Stephen Bowman, 88, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2009. Dr. Bowman was born in Toulon, Illinois and moved to Lady Lake from Kewanee, Illinois in 1988. He was a retired Dentist; a member of the Community United Methodist Church, Fruitland Park; the Scandinavian-American Club; Duplicate Bridge Club, of The Villages; Kiwanis Club; Masonic Lodge; and the Shriners. He enjoyed playing tennis, golf, and square dancing, and was a master bridge player, winning many trophies. He was a United States Army veteran serving in China during WWII and United States Navy during the Korean War. Survivors include his wife, Joyce Bowman; son Robert (Bob) Bowman, Chapin, South Carolina; daughter, Kathy Stewart, Lake City, Florida; three step children; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
