Obituary of Carlis N. Burton

Carlis Norman "Ike" Burton, 84 of Cross City, passed away Nov. 12, 2009 at Haven Hospice of the tri Counties in Chiefland. Born in Altamonte Springs, FL, he has been in this area from Gainesville since 1960. He was a toll test board technician for BellSouth. He served his country during WWII in the US Marine Corp and during the Korean Conflict in the US Army. He is survived by his sons Michael Dolan (Andrea)Burton of Americus, GA and Patric (Amy) Burton of Chiefland and grandchildren Adam & Tristin Burton of Chiefland and Elly Burton of Americus, GA. He is preceded in death by his wife, Jean Pelletier Burton. Graveside services will be Monday, Nov. 16, 2009 at 4:00PM at Chiefland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Mr. Burton's memory to Haven Hospice of the Tri Counties, 311 NE 9th St, Chiefland, FL 32626.
