Obituary of Doris Marion Jane Babcock

Doris Dee Babcock, 66, passed away on November 13, 2009. Mrs. Babcock was born in Upland, PA to Ernest Pahl and Martha Jane (Oaks). Doris graduated from Penncrest High School in Media Pa. where she was captain of the Girls Lacrosse Team. After graduation Doris enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp. Mrs. Babcock was a Nurse for Broward General Medical Center in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. She later moved from Ft. Lauderdale to Ocala with Cecil in 1992. She enjoyed country music, gardening, home decorating, crafts, art, and helping others. She also enjoyed attending Cross Brand Cowboy Church of Williston and River of Life Church in Ocala, Fl. Mrs. Babcock is survived by her loving husband of 17 years, Cecil Babcock of Dunnellon; two daughters, Holly Sadler of Summerfield, FL and Sherri Maneese of Ashland, OH; one son, Jacob Larsen of Columbus, OH; one step-daughter, Dara Jo Babcock of Virginia, one brother, David Pahl of Council Bluff, IA; and five grandchildren, Stephanie, Michael, Emma, Soren and Madison. Doris was predeceased by her grandson Kyle. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, November 19, 2009 at the residence of Cecil and Doris Babcock, 2180 N.W. 225th Ave., with Pastor Billy Keith and Elder John Maze officiating. Friends will continue to gather from 3:00-5:30 PM. Casual attire is requested.
