Obituary of Bonnie Niemeyer

Bonita "Bonnie" Niemeyer, 61, of The Villages, FL, formerly of Rockford, IL, passed away, Saturday, November 21, 2009. She was born in Newburgh, NY to Warren and Virginia Powers. Bonnie was a graduate of Eastern Illinois University, Class of 1970. She taught for 34 years at Maple Elementary School in the Harlem School District, retiring in 2004. She was an avid reader and bridge player, and lover of dogs. She was also a die-hard Cubs fan. Bonnie is survived by her husband of 35 years, David; daughter, Laura (Joshua) Rotello of Las Vegas, NV; son, Kyle Niemeyer of Riverview, FL; grandsons, Nolan and Brady Rotello; sister-in-law, Debbie Powers of Lafayette, IN; brother-in-law, John Niemeyer of MO, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, George W. Powers.
