Obituary of William Adams

William "Kin" McKinley Adams, age 86, of Ocala, FL passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2009. He was born in Lynch, KY on January 29, 1923. He was raised in Kentucky, the son of a Coalminer. He joined the U.S. Army and served two enlistments during WWII in England and Germany. Kin worked for the U.S. Government as a Clerk for over 30 years. His hobbies included golfing, bowling and relaxing around the pool at On Top of The World. He was a very active member of St. John Lutheran Church in Ocala where he served as an Elder and was a member of the Bible Study Group. He is survived by a daughter Judy Adams; step daughters Gayle Austin and Laura Austin - Rivera; step son Dr. Robert Austin; sister Ina Madine Kelly; brother Paul Edward Adams; several grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his first wife Margaret "Peggy" Adams and his second wife Patricia Joan Austin - Adams. A visitation will be held at Hiers - Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd, Ocala on Thursday, December 17, 2009 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm. A funeral service will be celebrated at St. John Lutheran Church, 1915 SE Lake Weir Ave, Ocala on Friday, December 18, 2009 at 1:00pm. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Ocala. Family would like to thank all of his friends and also those at Lorenzo's Kucina and Aunt Fannie's during this time.
