Obituary of Shirley Ann Lanier

Shirley Ann Lanier, 69 of Chiefland, passed away Jan 1, 2010 at her home with her family by her side. Born in Zephyrhills, FL she moved to Chiefland in 2000 from Zephyrhills. She was a member of the Westside Baptist Church in Zephyrhills. Mrs. Lanier had worked for East Pasco Medical Center for over 20 years. She was in volunteer resources with the Medical Healthcare system. She loved volunteering and working with the Children's Home Society of Florida, Bereavement Services and Spiritual Care, Haven Hospice of the Tri Counties, East Pasco Kiwanis Club, where she served as President, Board of East Pasco Medical Center, Community Aging and Retirement Center, Domestic Violence Board and the Chamber of Commerce. She enjoyed her volunteering service and going on cruises. Her biggest enjoyment in life was her family and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Arnold Dittenber of Chiefland, sons Alan (Charmine) Lanier of Wesley Chapel, FL, Don Lanier of St. Petersburg, FL, and Lendel (Tammy) Lanier of Allegany, NY. Her mother, Lillie Stanley of Zephyrhills, FL and her grandchildren Deon Roche, Selena Barker, Brent Lanier, Krystal Lanier, Layton Lanier , Alisha Lanier, and Lauren Lanier. Memorial Services will be Wednesday- Jan. 6, 2010 at 2 PM at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services Chapel-1301 N.
