Obituary of William Owen

OWEN, W. KEITH Silver Springs - W. Keith Owen, 86, passed away on Friday, Jan. 15, 2010. He was born in Ocala and was a lifetime resident. He was a member of Ocklawaha Bridge Baptist Church where he was an ordained deacon and served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII and Korea. He was a retired investigator for the State Attorney's office and former Chief Deputy of the Marion County Sheriff's Office. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Margaret (Marge) Owen of Silver Springs, his daughter, Jane Zimmerman of Cottage Grove, MN, his brothers, Jack of Sanford and Blanton of Silver Springs, his three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Lynn Keith Owen in 1988. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Jan. 21, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Ocklawaha Bridge Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Snell and Rev. Raymond L. Estes officiating. A luncheon will be served at 12 noon. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-6 PM at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Ocklawaha Bridge Baptist Church.
