Obituary of William Grant

Anthony-William B. Grant passed away on January, 16, 2010. He was born in Hamilton, Georgia in 1926 and moved to Anthony in 1934. He graduated from Anthony High School in 1945. He served his country during WWII in Germany. He was the fruit buyer for Libby McNeal for 17 years and owned Grant Electrical Supply Company until his retirement. Bill was very active and treasured his caring church family at Pine United Methodist Church. Billy was preceded in death by his parents, John Cosby and Mattie Kate Grant, his brother Emmett Grant, and his first wife, Blanche Gallagher Grant. He is survived by his wife Bunny Brazell, brothers, T.C. (Bobbie) Grant, Luther (Joyce) Grant, Branard (Marilyn) Grant, sisters, Cecelia (Duncan) Wright, Alice (Jess) Kimmons, and many nieces and nephews. The service will be held at graveside in the Anthony Cemetery on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at 2 PM with Rev. Delbert King officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Bill can be made to the Anthony Community Park Association, PO Box 134, Anthony, FL 32617.
