Obituary of Janet Segda

Janet J. Segda passed away comfortably, surrounded by family, on Sunday, January 17, 2010 in Ocala, FL. She was born on July 5, 1928 in Highland Falls, NY to Leon and Angela Josefiak. She lived her early life in New Britain, CT and then Walden, NY where she graduated from High School. Upon marrying Andrew Segda on September 8, 1957 she moved to Johnson, NY where they lived until moving full time to Ocala in 2004. Janet worked in the library in the Minisink School District in NY for many years, but her passion, along with her husband and many friends, was travel. They visited such places as Egypt, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Hawaii, and enjoyed many cruises. Janet had been a widow since 2005, but is survived by 3 nieces and a nephew along with their spouses, Fern Rhodes of Ocala, her husband Ken; Lisa Moore of Hillsboro, NJ, her husband Brett; Risa Jurius of Meredith, NH, her husband Steve; Buzz Josefiak of Warner, NH and his wife Michele. Their families include 4 grandnieces and 6 grandnephews. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Hiers-Baxley TimberRidge Chapel, 9695 SW 110th St., Ocala with Rev.
