Obituary of John Jones

JONES, JOHN R. (JACK) Salt Springs - John R. (Jack) Jones, 83, passed away on Monday, Jan. 25, 2010 at his residence. He was born in Anthony and had lived in Marion County most of his lifetime. He owned and operated Jones Glass & Mirror and worked for Southern Plate Glass & Paint for 28 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Salt Springs and served his country during WWII in the U.S. Marine Corps. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being with his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Pauline of Salt Springs, his daughter, Michelle Collier of Palatka, his son, John Mark Jones of Ocala, his brother, Oren Jones of Inverness and his grandchildren, Tyler, Layton (Jack) and Jordan. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, Jan. 28, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Anthony Cemetery with Rev. Eric Gervars officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4-6 PM at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala.
