Obituary of John Gennero Volpe

John G. Volpe, Jr., age 70, of Lady Lake, FL. passed away at The Villages Regional Hospital on January 29, 2010. He was born in Bronx, NY. and was a veteran of the US Navy. John was a retired general foreman, with Metro North Commuter Railroad for 26 years. He retired from West Haven, CT seven years ago. John was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, the VFW in New York and Lady Lake, and the American Legion Post #347 in Lady Lake, FL. He is survived by Theresa Antonino-Volpe, wife, Lady Lake; two daughters Yvonne T. Corrado, West Haven, CT; Christine Volpe, Wooster, MA; Mary Volpe, Martinsburg, WV; three sons Mike (Tex) Volpe, West Haven, CT; Kevin Volpe, North Haven, CT; John Volpe, Martinsburg, WV; three brothers Christian Volpe, Hopewell Junction, NY; Charlie Volpe, Sierra Vista, AZ; William Volpe, Hopewell Junction, NY; five grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
