Obituary of Eugene J. Hilla

Eugene J. Hilla, 83, of Belleview, died at Munroe Regional Medical Center, February 1, 2010. He was born in Rogers City, Michigan. He was the owner/operator of a Texaco Gas Station in Rogers City, MI. He was a veteran of WW II serving in the Navy and with the Seabees in Okinawa. Mr. Hilla was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, Belleview, VFW in Michigan and Serviceman's Club. He enjoyed hunting and bowling. He is survived by his wife, Leona Hilla, Belleview; daughters, Judith Hilla, Grand Rapids, MI, Marcia (David) Smelinski, Posen, MI, Nancy Bushart, Flint, MI, Bonnie (Michael) Ruggles, Petoskey, MI; sons, Thomas (Laura) Hilla, Rogers City, MI, Timothy Hilla, Wyoming,MI, Steven Hilla, Rogers City, MI; brother, Arthur (Virginia) Hilla, Rogers City, MI; sister, Louise (Richard) Kuznicki, Millersburg, MI; 19 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
