Obituary of William Paul Criss

William Criss, Sr., 75, died Friday March 12, 2010. Mr. Criss was born in Harrison County, WV, and moved to The Villages in 1997 from Pasadena, Maryland. He was retired from International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and the Department of Defense at Fort Meade, Maryland. Paul was in the Navy and was very active in softball all his life. He is in the Anne Arundel, Md Senior Softball Hall of Fame and also in the fast-pitch Hall of Fame in Baltimore, Md. He was a member of the Glen Burnie Moose Lodge, Md.; Severna Park Elks, Md.; VFW of Pasadena, Md., the American Legion Post 347 in Lady Lake, Fl and the Masonic Lodge of The Villages, Fl. He is preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Jane Criss, and son Larry Criss. Survivors include his sons, Curtis, Olathe, Ks., and William Criss, Jr. of Brooklyn Park, Md.; daughter Laura Joy of Glenbauer, Md; brother Robert Criss of West Virginia; 10 grandchildren, and one long-time friend and companion, Dorothy West of The Villages, Fl.
