Obituary of Walter Wyatt Duncan

Walter "Wyatt" Duncan, 80 of Silver Springs, passed away on Friday, May 7, 2010 at his residence. He was born on March 18, 1930 in Shamrock, Florida. He moved to Tampa at age 13 and became self-employed by age 15. Wyatt was a salesman for Duncan Sales for 49 years and was the owner of Fine Taxidermy, Tampa. Because of his love for fishing and hunting, Wyatt moved his family to Ocala in 1971. He is preceded in death by his parents, Grover and Annie Belle Duncan; son John Duncan and daughter Suzanne Wallace; brothers, G.P. and Paul Duncan, sisters, Audrey Folsom and Delores Hopper; twin grandsons, Johnny and Rodney. Wyatt is survived by his wife of 49 years, Marlene; son Walter; daughter-in-law, Angela; sister, Demetria Ward, (Jim); grandsons, Brian Wallace (Felicia), Wayne, John and Troy Duncan, and Chris Ippolito; granddaughters, Dawn Doner (Tom), Jessica Jennings (Travis) and Ashley Wallace; great-grandchildren; Rodney, Luciano, Wayne Jr., T. J., Eris and Athena; along with numerous other family and friends. A family memorial service will be held at his home on Saturday, May 15, 2010 at 2:00 PM. The family request, in lieu of flowers, that contributions be made to Odyssey Health Care, 1320 SE 25th Loop, Suite 101 Ocala, Fl 34471.
