Obituary of Helen Deines

Helen Deines Passed away on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at her home in historic downtown Ocala. She was born in Spring Hill IL. She and her deceased husband Bruce moved from Prophetstown IL. to Ocala Fl. in 1951 where they opened Bruce Motors, which later they became a franchise dealership of Lincoln Mercury of Ocala, continuing their Entrepreneurship they opened Pine Street Mobile Home Sales, where they were business owners before retiring. They were life members of Knights of Columbus, Ocala Elks Club Lodge No. 286, the Ocala Dance Club and Blessed Trinity Catholic Church where she was a two time founder of Trinity High School. She continued her church mission traveling to Uganda traveling 3 times to assist building schools, convent, priest home, clinic and a pilgrimage to Emougorje, Bosnia. She became a volunteer in 2002 for Eldercare, CFCC Foundation and was a charitable donor to Life in Christ. Helen and her son Michael Deines were involved along with the Ocala Police Dept. which sent computers for educational resources to other Countries. She is survived by her son Michael Deines and wife, Jeanette of Ocala, her sister, Marguerite Burdsall, and her five grandchildren and five great grandchildren, 2 niece's and 1 nephew of St. Paul, MN. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Deines, her daughter, Patricia Hartman and her brothers, Daniel Boone and Charles Boone (infant). A funeral mass will be said on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church with Father Pat Sheedy officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Trinity High School, Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, Alzheimer's Assn. or the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are by Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala.
