Obituary of Joseph Vaughn Sims

J.V. Sims, 81, lifelong resident of Ocala, passed away on Thursday, June 17, 2010 in Ocala. He was a farmer and logger. J.V. was a hard working man throughout his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vaughn and Mattie (Shealy) Sims, 5 siblings, Grace, Clyde, Murray, Vernon, Oveta. J.V. is survived by 5 children, Beverly Rimes, of Vero Beach, Allan Sims, Brenda Richardson, Vaughn Sims, all of Ocala and Terry Joe Sims, of Anthony,12 Grandchildren,5 Great Grandchildren, sister Reva Sontag of Live Oak. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 21, 2010 from 9:00AM to 10:00AM at the Hiers-Baxley Funeral Home, 910 SE Silver Springs Blvd, Ocala. A Graveside service will follow at 11:00AM at the Anthony Cemetery, Anthony, FL.
