Obituary of Col. Charles L. Govern II

GOVERN, II, CHARLES L. Ocklawaha - Lt. Col. Charles L. Govern, II, 85, passed away on June 24, 2010. He was also known and loved as "Granddad" at Lake in the Forest Park in Ocklawaha, FL. He retired after many years of service in the U.S. Air Force. He is survived by his wife, Inge (Onie) and their blended family of seven children, nineteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A mass will be said on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church with Father Michael O'Keeffe officiating. Visitation will be on Monday from 4-6 PM at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala. Burial will be at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell with full military honors. The family requests in lieu of flowers, please make donations in Charles' memory to Smile Train, P.O. Box 96231, Washington, DC 20090-6231. The family extends their heart filled thanks to Hospice of Marion County and their staff for their kindness and care during this period and crisis.
