Obituary of Warren G. Hawkins

Hawkins, Warren G., 88 Ocala - Warren G. Hawkins, 88, died July 13, 2010 at Avante of Ocala. He was born in Clinton, NC, September 19, 1921 to William R. Hawkins and Eva Barefoot. Warren was a WWII veteran serving in the Merchant Marines and a Retail Marketing Director for the Gulf Oil Corp. Mr. Hawkins was a huge Gator fan, avid golfer, and loved gardening. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Irene H. Hawkins of Ocala; daughter, Marsha Ruff of Ocala; son Michael W. Hawkins of Sarasota; sisters, Mary Jackson and Ruby Goins; brothers, Eden D. Hawkins and William A. Hawkins; grandchildren, Michael Alan Hawkins, Emily Ruff, and Kelsielynn Ruff; and great-grandchildren, Cole Anderson and Kennedy Hawkins. A memorial service will be held July 17, 2010 at 11:00 AM at First Christian Church, 1908 SE Ft. King with Rev. Rick Hull officiating.
