Obituary of Jose M. Hernandez-Irizarry

SUMMERFIELD — Jose M. Hernandez-Irizarry, 84, died Monday, July 19, 2010. Mr. Hernandez-Irizarry was born in Puerto Rico, and moved to Summerfield from there in 1981. He was a retired policeman; member of Church of Grace, Belleview; and an Army veteran of the Korean War. Survivors include his wife, Aurea Hernandez; son, Jose M. Hernandez, Peoria, Ill.; daughter, Ivette Hernandez, Aibonito, Puerto Rico; brother, Nicolas Hernandez, Camuy, Puerto Rico; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 21, at Church of Grace, with pastors Lamar and Danny McCullough officiating. Burial will follow in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
