Obituary of George Washington Gibson

George Gibson The Villages - George Washington Gibson, 86, died Friday, September 17, 2010. Mr. Gibson was born in Washington, D.C., and moved here from Baltimore, Maryland in 1996. He was a retired automotive engineer with Koppers Company in Baltimore; attended St. Timothy Catholic Community; enjoyed playing golf, cards and woodworking. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge; American Legion Post 347, Lady Lake; and the VFW Post 8083, Belleview. Survivors include his wife Angela Gibson; son-in-law, Delmas Lane, Christiansburg, Virginia; stepsons, Roland Barthelmes and John Jacob, both of Baltimore, Maryland; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 28th at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Service, The Villages.
