Obituary of Pearl Margret Davis

Pearl Margret Davis 97, was born in Cleveland, Ohio September 9, 1913; died in Ocala, Florida September 28, 2010. In 1926, the family moved to Dover, Ohio, and in 1969 to Ocala, Florida. She was a graduate of Dover High School, class of 1931, and a retired employee of the J. C. Penney Company in Ohio. Her love of music led her to serve her Lord as organist, pianist, and a director of children's and youth choirs, singing in the chancel choirs in churches in Ohio, and in Florida. She was a member of the OES, Belleview Chapter # 122, Belleview, Florida where she served as organist for a number of years. She was a past high priestess of the White Shrine of Jerusalem in Ohio. She was a member of the Public Employee Retirees, Inc., a member of the 700 Club in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and a long time member of the Billy Graham Evangelical Association. She was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church of Ocala. She is survived by Jeffrey A. Davis, beloved son and caretaker; a step-son, Frank L. Davis of Ohio; 10 step-grandchildren, 15 step-great-grandchildren, and three step-great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Leroy G. Davis; a brother, a step-daughter, a step-grandson, and two step-great-grandchildren. Visitation 1:PM, and funeral service Saturday, October 2, 2010 2:PM HIERS-BAXLEY FUNERAL SERVICES, 352-629-7171.
