Obituary of Millie Nichols Watkins

Millie Nichols Watkins, 84 of Gulf Hammock passed away Nov 2, 2010 at Haven Hospice of the Tri Counties with her family by her side. She was born in Tidewater, FL and spent her life in Levy County. She was a homemaker who was devoted to her family and friends. She was a founding member of Gulf Hammock Church of God who was faithful in her faith and Christian walk. "Big Granny" was a devoted mother, grandmother, aunt and sister who will be missed by all. She is survived by her children Eugenia (Willard) McElveen, Buddy Watkins, Debbie Watkins Cross and Clevy (Hazel) Watkins, all of Gulf Hammock, sister Edna Shipp Powell of Bronson, 11 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter and 1 grand puppy "Tebow". She is preceded in death by her husband T.P. "Bug" Watkins, 2 brothers and a sister. Funeral services will be Saturday Nov. 6, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Gulf Hammock Church of God with Rev. Eddie Johnson, Rev. Billy Wallace and Rev. Jim Waldron officiating. Burial will be in Cedars of Lebanon Cemetery in Inglis. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
