Obituary of MaryBeth Butler Waltz

MaryBeth Butler Waltz, age 60, of Ocala, FL passed away on November 15, 2010. She was born in Beech Grove, IN on January 25, 1950. She was raised in Hialeah, FL. MaryBeth was a graduate of Florida Atlantic University where she received a Bachelor degree in Elementary Education. She dedicated her life to Elementary Education and her passion was Art. She taught in Marion County for 30 years having worked at Wyomina Park Elementary and Madison Street Academy for the Performing Arts. Currently she was the owner/instructor of Little Leonardo's School of Fine Art in Ocala. MaryBeth was an avid runner having completed 3 full marathons. She was a very active member of the art community. She was a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist of Ocala. MaryBeth is survived by her husband of 41 years Mike Waltz of Ocala; daughter Maryann Young of Pasadena, CA; daughter Melissa Simpkins of Tampa, FL; daughter Megan Lynn Waltz of Hicksville, NY; sister Jeanne Steding of Orlando, FL; and a brother Dr. Danny Butler of Auburn, AL. A visitation will be held at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd, Ocala on Friday, November 19, 2010 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
