Obituary of Leo J. Fochtman

Leo J. Fochtman, age 76, of Ocala, FL passed away on Saturday, December 4, 2010. He was born in Queens, NY on September 5, 1934. Leo was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served in the US Navy as a Submariner. He worked as a Machinist for 35 years. Leo was a Christian. He moved to Ocala from Ronkonkoma, NY. His surviving family include his wife Cornelia Fochtman; son Leo Fochtman, Jr. of Acton, MA; daughter Lori Jean Simpson of New Berlin, NY; son Michael Fochtman of Loganville, GA; daughter Doreen Preston of Holbrook, LI, NY; step-daughter Beth Thornton of Gainesville, FL; step-daughter; Teresa Wallace of Winter Haven, FL; step-son James Hicks of Austin, TX; brother Clifford Fochtman of LI, NY; sister Margaret Calandra of Ocala, FL; 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. A viewing will be held at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd, Ocala, FL on Tuesday, December 7, 2010 from 4:00pm until 5:00pm. A funeral service will also be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at 5:00pm.
