Obituary of Ethel Wynell Watson

WATSON, ETHEL "NELL" WATSON, 83 Belleview - Ethel "Nell" Watson, 83, died at Estelle's Hospice House, Ocala on December 14, 2010. She was born June 24, 1927 in Florala, Alabama and moved to this area in 1974 from Ft. Meade, FL. She was an active member of Ft. Meade First Baptist Church and First Baptist Church of Belleview where she was involved in the Women's Missionary Union, GA and BYW Leader, Sunday School teacher, Training Union teacher. She was also involved in Migrant Ministry, Good News Ministry, Director of S.W.A.R.M.(Southwest Area Resort Ministries, NC), Mission Service Corp. volunteer, founding member and volunteer of Florida Campers on Mission, and lifetime member of American Legion Auxiliary in Ft. Meade and Belleview. She was owner/operator of Nell's Fashions in Ft. Meade and Bartow, FL for 22 years. Nell is survived by her daughters, Virginia (Charles) Hancock, Bartow, FL and Sharon (Lonnie) Kress of Belleview; 7 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren, 8 nieces and many great nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, Ralph J. and Mamie Henderson, brothers, J. B. Goff, Bill Goff, and Jack Henderson and sisters, Frances Richardson and Estelle Langford. Funeral services will be held at 4 PM, December 17, 2010 at First Baptist Church of Belleview, 6107 SE Agnew Road. The family will receive friends at the church from 2:30 PM until time of the service. A graveside service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Ft. Meade (Polk County) at 3 PM, Saturday, December 18, 2010. The family will receive friends in Ft. Meade at 2 PM at Hancock Funeral Home, 945 E Broadway, Ft. Meade before the graveside service.
