Obituary of Alfred J Malin

Malin, Alfred J., 77 Alfred J. Malin of Ocala, FL passed from this life on December 23, 2010 at Legacy Hospice House in Ocala, FL. He was born in Chicago, IL to the late Charles and Vera (Szymanski) Malin. Mr. Malin was a pipe fitter/welder employed by the Plumbing and Pipefitters Union for 30 years in Ohio. He was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ocala and a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps serving during the Korean War. Mr. Malin was a member of the VFW Angela Santos Post 4781. He enjoyed fishing, reading, gardening, square dancing and country music. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Rena M. Malin of Ocala, FL; two daughters, Sharon Smith of Kirland, IL and Karen Wilkins of Homestead, FL; and three grandchildren. Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at 8:30 AM at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, SR 200, Ocala, FL with Father Patrick J. O'Doherty officiating. Inurnment will be at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL with Military Honors provided by Angela Santos Post 4781 of Ocala. Condolences may be posted to Hiers-Baxley.com
