Obituary of Theodora Henrietta Simons

LADY LAKE — Theodora Henrietta Simons, 91, died Thursday, Jan. 6, 2011. Mrs. Simons was born in Holland, and moved to Lady Lake from Easton, Pa., in 1981. She was a homemaker; avid handcrafter of knitting and needlepoint; member of the War Brides Club; and loved coffee. Survivors include her husband, Homer C.; sons Robert, Ormond Beach, Paul, Wilmer, Minn.; brother, Tony Mans, Summerfield; sisters Mimi Louise Mans, Palm Beach, Clare Scheepers, Meestrich, Holland; five grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 11, at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services of The Villages. Inurnment will be at a later date at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell.
