Obituary of Agnes Ruth Padgett

Agnes R. Harrison Padgett, age 98, of Ocala, FL passed away on Sunday, January 9, 2011. She was born in Wayne County, Mississippi on June 11, 1912. She married Leon Padgett on April 7, 1938. Together they raised five children and were married for 58 years until his death in 1996. Mrs. Padgett was a homemaker. She was a member of Oakcrest Baptist Church. Her hobbies included fishing, travelling, church work and family. She is survived by a son William B. "Billy" (Mary Jane) Padgett of Plant City, FL; son Leon E. (Janie) Padgett, Jr. of Lakeland, FL; daughter Barbara Padgett (Rev. Joe) Schroeder of Crystal River, FL; son Larry D. (Joan) Padgett of DeLeon Springs, FL; son James H. "Jim" (Betty) Padgett of Ocala, FL; brother Elbarae (Primrose) Harrison of Lithia, FL; sister in law Elizabeth Joyner of Palatka, FL; 13 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Leon E. Padgett, Sr., sister Bertha Harrison Sykes, brother in law Wesley Sykes, brother in law Jessie Brown, brother in law William "Burnice" Joyner and sister in law Ardelia Brown. A funeral service will be held at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd, Ocala, FL on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at 11:00am. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10:00am until 11:00am. A graveside service will be held at Springhead Community Cemetery in Plant City, FL on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at 3:30pm
