Obituary of Elton LeWayne Williams

WILLIAMS, ELTON L. Astor - Elton L. Williams, 69, son of the late Lester and JoAnn Williams of Ft. McCoy, passed away on Monday, Jan. 17, 2011 at his residence surrounded by his loving family at his bedside. He was born in Quakertown, PA and was a metallurgist for Bethlehem Steel. He served his country in the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed antiquing, golfing, hunting, fishing and especially traveling in his RV with his life companion, Florence Riley. He is survived by his sons, Martin E. Williams of Ocala and J. Michael Williams of Quakertown, PA, his sister, Linda Williams of Melbourne, his brother Martin E. and wife Sibyl Williams of Albemarle, NC, his grandchildren, Chelsea, Evan, Dylan, and JoAnn and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a grandson Eric. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala. With Rev. William D. Terrell officiating. He will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery at Bushnell at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Halifax Hospice.
