Obituary of Mary Beasley Taylor

Mary Beasley Taylor, 89 of Frostproof, FL passed away from Alzheimer's, March 1, 2011, at her daughter's home in Cedar Key. She was born in Barnwell, SC on Oct. 25, 1921 to Edward R. & Jeanette Beasley. She was of the Baptist faith and was a member Eastern Star - Rebecca's, and the Frostproof Woman's Club. She was owner of a motel for 22 years, loved to work and take care of her family. She also enjoyed spending summers at her home in Maggie Valley, NC. She was very proud of her volunteer work, over 2000 hours, at the Frostproof Care Center. Her greatest enjoyment was her family, grand children, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was a great mother and Aunt Mary to so many. She loved to travel with her daughters all over the US and Canada. She is survived by her daughters Saundra Flores (Jack Kennedy) of Cedar Key, Judy (Claude) Howerton of Cedar Key, Kay (Robert) Taylor of Frostproof, and Kim Taylor of Lakeland, 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy D. Taylor, her parents, Edward R. & Jeanette Beasley, grandson Del Ganey and son in law Joe Flores. Graveside services will be Saturday March 5, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Silver Hill Cemetery in Frostproof, FL, with Reggie Palmer officiating.
