Obituary of Ivan Joseph Rossignol

Ivan "Joe" Rossignol, 81, of Summerfield passed away on March 10, 2011 at Tuscany House. Mr. Rossignol came to Summerfield from Wolcott, CT in 1995 after retiring as a Teamster Local 677 where he served as a warden and a steward. He enjoyed singing and was a jack of all trades. He was member of St. Mark the Evangelical Catholic Church where he was a communicant, member of the American Legion, and a Grandmaster of K. of C. He served on the Town Council Zoning Board in Wolcott, CT, also a member of the Farmingbury and Watertown Golf Clubs. Mr. Rossignol was a Veteran of Korean War serving in the US Army. He is survived by spouse; Charlene Swanson, Summerfield, FL; Daughters; Gail LaFrance and her fiancé Dennis Raymond, Wolcott, CT, Sandra Rossignol, Albuquerque, NM; Sons; Dean Rossignol, Wolcott, CT, Scott (Tammy) Rossignol, Wolcott, CT; Step Son Bill (Ann) Burgess of Minnesota; Brother; Perley (Pauline) Rossignol, Venice, Fl; Sisters; Eva Sage, Okeechobee, FL, Gladys Morrison, Hendersonville, N.C., Shirley (Henry) Clausen, St. Augustine, FL; Grandchildren; Jaime (Neal) Rodman, Vernon, CT, Amanda (Sean) Sullivan, Wolcott, CT, Robert Fernandez, Wolcott, CT, Scott Rossignol II, Wolcott, CT; Dean, Jr. and Garrett Rossignol Great-Grandchildren; Molly and Jack Rodman, Ian and Savannah Sullivan; Several nieces and nephews. Mr. Rossignol was preceded in death by spouse; Hilda Rossignol, granddaughter; Stephanie Rossignol; Brother; Lawrence Rossignol.
