Obituary of Barry George Loubet

Barry George Loubet, 66 of Chiefland, passed away March 19, 2011 at Haven Hospice of the Tri Counties in Chiefland. Born in Plainfield, NJ, he moved to this area 23 years ago from New Port Richey. He served his country in the US Navy during Viet Nam. He was of the Methodist faith, and was a member of the VFW and the Lions Club. He worked to set up the World Vision Program, he was self employed with Bea's Draperies for 10 years, worked 7 years for Wal-Mart, 10 years as a construction teacher for Job Corp and 3 years with the Juvenile Justice System in Lecanto. Barry enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, diving and motorcycles. He is survived by his children, Barry George (Lisa) Loubet, Sr of Newnan GA, Theresa (K.K.) Loubet Kenny, James R. (Julia) Loubet and Jackie Loubet, all of Chiefland, his mother, Beatrice Mae Loubet and sister Carol Rather, both of Atlanta, 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Memorial Services will be Tuesday, March 22, 2011at 11:00 AM at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Chiefland with Red Louis Abel officiating.
