Obituary of Ronnie Lewis Fort

Fort, Ronnie Lewis Ronnie Lewis Fort, 56, died Friday, April 15, 2011. He was born on November 29, 1954 in Douglas Georgia to John and Ruby Fort. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and currently worked for Construction Tire and Maintenance. Formerly he was a drag racer at Gainesville Raceway. He was passionate about drag racing and was in the process of rebuilding a 71 Nova. Ronnie had a great sense of humor and always had a smile on his face. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed camping during his free time. He is survived by: children; Kevin Fort, Tina Cucurella, and Amy Fort. Sister; Barbara Ann Fort. His Companion of many years, Fran Kash, Eight grandchildren, and five additional children that he thought of as his grandchildren. There will be a visitation from 4-7 pm on Wednesday, April 20 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 SE Silver Springs Blvd. Private family services will be held at a later date.
