Obituary of Chris Hughes

HUGHES, CHRIS G. Salt Springs - Chris G. Hughes, 69, died June 6, 2011 at Ocala Regional Medical Center. He was born in Dunbar, PA and moved from Jacksonville, FL to Salt Springs in 1975. He retired from the United States Navy and served his country in Viet Nam. He was Methodist and a member of the VFW and American Legion. He enjoyed hunting and boating. Mr. Hughes is survived by his wife, Cheryl M. Hughes; daughters, Tonie Riley, of Salt Springs, Hettie Hughes, Ocklawaha; son, Jerry Hughes, Scrambletown; brother, Larry Hughes, Alleghany, MI; sisters, Karen Ross and Peggy Rankin, both of Dunbar, PA and 8 grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Friday, June 10, 2011 at 11 AM at Jacksonville Memorial Gardens, Jacksonville, FL with military honors.
