Obituary of Jean Johnson

Jean Johnson, 82, of Ocala passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 in Ocala. Born in White Plains, New York on September 20, 1928, daughter to the late RS and Marjorie Burnham, she moved here from Palm City, FL in 2006. She retired in 1990 as Assistant to the Dean at Miss Porters School, Farmington, CT. She was a lifelong Episcopalian until becoming a member at Countryside Presbyterian Church, Ocala, where along with her husband was a member of the choir. Jean's hobbies included acrylic painting, cooking and knitting. The greatest times in life were those spent with her family. Jean is survived by her Loving Husband of 56 years, Norman Johnson, Ocala: Daughters, Melanie Johnson, San Rafael, CA and Wendy Costa (Jonathan), Litchfield, CT: Grandchildren: Jonathan Costa, Jr., Natasha Khanna and Carl Costa. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 , at 2:00PM at Countryside Presbyterian Church. Arrangements are under the care of Hiers-Baxley TimberRidge Chapel, 9695 SW 110th St. Ocala.
