Obituary of John L. Northey

John L. Northey, 86 of Ocala, went to Jesus after a short stay at Legacy House, Ocala on Saturday, June 18, 2011. Born in Shepherd, MI on July 29, 1924, son of the late Aaron N. and Golda F. (Kelley) Northey, he came here in 1992 from Crescent City, FL. He attended Meadowbrook Church, Ocala. He was a WWII U.S. Army veteran. He retired from Lockheed Martin, Orlando with many years service. He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign War. Along with his wife he traveled throughout the United States .The love of his life was his family. John is survived by his Loving wife of 28 years, Jessie, sons John Northey of TN and Edward Northey (Patty) of Deltona, FL ;daughter Pam Northey of FL; Step-sons Charlie Stone (Michelle) of Ocala and J.B. Stone (Debra) of Douglas, GA; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren ; sister Joann of Oxnard, CA and several nieces and nephews including Connie Beauchamp and Nora Ray of MI. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at 11:00AM in the TimberRidge Chapel of Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 9695 SW 110th St. Ocala. Family will receive their friends from 10:00AM until service time. Burial will follow at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell with full military honors.
