Captain Douglas L. Moore, 79, of Ocala, FL, passed away at his home in Leeward Air Ranch on July 2, 2011. Douglas was born at Hillcrest Farm in Gainsborough, Saskatchewan, Canada on Feb. 19, 1932 to the late Kathleen (Lewis) & Thomas L. Moore. After purchasing his home in Leeward Air Ranch he began to spend his off time from Air Canada here in Ocala where he eventually met his wife Cher A. Smith in March of 1994. Douglas and Cher made it official on April 4, 1998 and remained married until his passing. Douglas is survived by his loving wife Cher A. Moore, his two sisters Lucille K.
