Obituary of Catherine Groover

Catherine "Red" Groover, 83, of Otter Creek, passed away Aug. 14, 2011 at Cross City Rehab and Health Care Center. Born in Levy County she has spent her life in the area. She was a homemaker who enjoyed crocheting and was most proud of her children and family. 'Red' was a member of Otter Creek Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughters, Emilee Ellzey of Otter Creek, Linda Martin of Bronson, Geraldine Antras and Betty Kidd, both of Chiefland, Earnestine Harris of Cross City, sisters Lorine Ellzey of Gulf Hammock and Ivore Bryant of Dade City. She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She is preceded in death by a son, Jessie Williams and a brother and sister. Funeral services are Wed., Aug 17, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services in Chiefland with Bro. Keith officiating. Burial will follow at Ellzey Cemetery in Ellzey.
