Obituary of Clenith Gale Henson

Clenith Gale Henson, affectionately known by all as, Pop Henson, 76, of Belleview, FL passed away December 7, 2023 at Charleston, WV. He was the husband of Mary Ann Henson. Clenith was born in Flint, Michigan a son of the late Leonard and Eva Marie Henson. He served as a Sergeant Tank Commander in Korea at the 39th Parallel, was an avid carpenter, church bus driver while assisting his daughter Lisa and son in law Gregory in launching a church, “The Crossroads of Dade City” and a 46 year member of Souls Harbor Pentecostal Church, Belleview, FL. Clenith is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Henson of Belleview, FL, daughter, Sabrina Sowards and her husband Jeffrey, son, Robert Henson and his wife, Kristina, daughter, Lisa Sims and her husband, Gregory. Grandchildren: Natasha & Rocco Tomeo, Elizabeth & Trace Dawson, Chase, Austin, Savannah & Nathan Henson, Gregory & Erikka Sims, Katherine & Chase Weadock, and Leanna Licquia. Great Grandchildren: Elena & Rocco Tomeo, Rowan, Maddox & Everett Dawson, Tianna Johnson Jordan & Jayce Staten and Jackson Weadock. He is also survived by sisters, Brenda Eastwood and Coleen Brittton. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Priscilla Henson, Betty Kelley and Blanch Wright and brothers, Dale Henson, Bobby Joe Henson and Leonard Henson. The family will receive friends at Souls Harbor First Pentecostal Church, 12650 SE County Hwy 484, Belleview, Fl 34420 Tuesday, December 19, 2023 from 10:00 AM followed by Funeral services at 11:00AM.
